On Friday 29th May 2020, Atrium Health Coventry launched a Crowdfunder campaign in order to raise £20,000 for the installation for a first floor wheelchair accessible toilet. The Atrium Stadium Tours event was designed to challenge the staff to indoor cycle the distance in between all 92 football clubs, a total of 2359 miles over 24 hours. The team successfully completed this challenge by 10am on Saturday 27th June, 2 hours ahead of target. The team raised an astonishing £1430.00 from donations plus £1,000 from Coventry City Council and £10,000 from Sport England. Following the challenge, the donations have been coming in fast. People have really come together during this time to help us make a difference. The new accessible toilet will allow those recovering from or living with long term Heart, Lung or Circulatory conditions to access education, events, exercise and appointments at the Coventry community venue. As of 07:31am on the 17th July, 1 week before the crowdfunding deadline, Atrium Health Coventry have managed to reach the £20,000 target and are now working towards the boost target to allow us to transform our seminar room into a more inviting space. We cannot thank the community enough for their support, the staff for volunteering their time to this project and for those who have helped us reach more people in the community.
